Burger Ingredients
- 16 ounces 99% fat free ground turkey breast sub ground chicken breast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
Onion Jam Ingredients
- ½ white onion sliced
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar replacement Swerve
- 3 tablespoons sugar free BBQ sauce G Hughes
Burgers
Heat a large pan over medium/high heat. Spray with cooking spray
Place ground turkey in a large bowl. Sprinkle evenly with the seasonings. Use your hands to thoroughly mix the seasonings into the meat
Form ground meat into 4 equal sized patties. Add to the heated pan and cook until thoroughly cooked, about 5-6 minutes per side, flipping once
Onion Jam
Heat a small pan over medium heat. Spray with cooking spray
Add sliced onions and cook until browned and soft, about 5-6 minutes
Add water and sugar, bringing to a boil and stirring until thickened, about another 5 minutes
Add bbq sauce, stirring until thickened
