Servings 6 corn dogs

Ingredients

  • 6 97% fat free beef franks
  • ¼ cup flour
  • ¼ cup liquid egg whites
  • cup cornmeal
  • 1 tablespoon confectioners sugar replacement Swerve
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Grab three small, shallow bowls. In one bowl, add the flour. In another, pour out the liquid egg whites. In the last one, whisk together the cornmeal and seasonings (including the sugar).
  • One by one, take each hot dog and coat it in flour then drop it in the egg mixture and cover it in the eggs. Grab the hot dog and transfer it to the cornmeal and completely cover it in cornmeal. Place that, gently, in the greased air fryer.
  • Repeat this step for each hot dog. It is very important in this recipe to not let the hot dogs touch while cooking.
  • Set the air fryer to 400 degrees and cook the corn dogs for 3 minutes. Open the air fryer and spray them with cooking spray. Air fry for another 2 minutes.
  • Flip the corn dogs over and spray again with cooking spray. Air fry for another 5-7 minutes, until desired crispiness.
