This recipe for a bulgogi ground beef bowl is covered with an amazing sauce and best served with rice or noodles.

Bulgogi Ground Beef

Bulgogi beef has been all the rage! It is a deliciously flavorful dish that can be anywhere from sweet to spicy. I absolutely love it with ground beef and served with rice and broccoli.

Ingredients

Sauce

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar replacement
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon ginger ground

Ground Beef

  • 3 tablespoons diced white onion
  • 1 pound extra lean ground beef 96%
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • ½ teaspoon ginger ground
  • ½ teaspoon paprika

Slurry

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon water

Instructions

  • Start by mixing all the ingredients for the bulgogi sauce together in a small bowl and set that aside.
  • Dice the onion.
  • Heat a medium sized pan over medium high heat. Grease with cooking spray.
  • Once heated, add the onion and let that cook for 2-3 minutes. Add the ground beef and start breaking that up, a meat chopper works great for this. Sprinkle with all the seasonings and continue to break up while cooking.
  • Once fully cooked, add the bulgogi sauce in and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 5 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken and the flavors form together.
  • If needed, combine the corn starch with water and slowly stir into the mixture until desired thickness is reached.
