Cheeseburger Sloppy Joes
Ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 pound 99% fat free ground turkey breast or ground chicken breast
- ¼ white onion diced
- 3 tablespoons sugar free ketchup (G Hughes brand)
- 1 tablespoon chicken broth low sodium, fat-free
- 2 tablespoons ⅓ less fat cream cheese
- ¼ cup reduced fat, 2% milk cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns of your choice; not included in points or calories
Instructions
- Heat a large pan on the stove over medium heat. Spray with cooking spray
- Add minced garlic and cook for one minute, until fragrant. Add diced up onion and cook until slightly soft and translucent
- Add ground turkey and start breaking it apart. Once slightly broken apart, add seasonings and continue to break up and mix. Cook almost thoroughly, until almost all the pink is gone
- Add ketchup and broth and stir to combine. Allow meat to completely cook. Add in cream cheese and stir in until melted. Add in cheddar cheese and stir to combine
- Assemble your sloppy joes and enjoy!
