I am a HUGE burger fan. And there’s nothing I love more on my burger than my BBQ Onion Jam. It adds to the flavor of any type of burger you’re making; I chose a turkey burger tonight and I would have to say it’s one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! No cheese needed when the patty and topping are this good!

Turkey Burgers
Ingredients
Burger Ingredients
- 16 ounces 99% fat free ground turkey breast sub ground chicken breast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
Onion Jam Ingredients
- ½ white onion sliced
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar replacement Swerve
- 3 tablespoons sugar free BBQ sauce G Hughes
Instructions
Burgers
- Heat a large pan over medium/high heat. Spray with cooking spray
- Place ground turkey in a large bowl. Sprinkle evenly with the seasonings. Use your hands to thoroughly mix the seasonings into the meat
- Form ground meat into 4 equal sized patties. Add to the heated pan and cook until thoroughly cooked, about 5-6 minutes per side, flipping once
Onion Jam
- Heat a small pan over medium heat. Spray with cooking spray
- Add sliced onions and cook until browned and soft, about 5-6 minutes
- Add water and sugar, bringing to a boil and stirring until thickened, about another 5 minutes
- Add bbq sauce, stirring until thickened
