Takeout Tuesday never ends on Allie Carte! This recipe is all over the internet but I put my little spin on it and I was highly impressed! I also added a slightly spicy sauce drizzle to the top that really made the meal!! It was the perfect meal prep for the weekÂ
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 3 green onions sliced
- ¼ red onion diced
- 1 pound ground chicken breast
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- â…› teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce G Hughes
- ¼ cup soy sauce low sodium
- 12 ounces coleslaw package about 3 cups
Sauce
- â…› cup plain, nonfat Greek yogurt
- ½ tablespoon Sriracha sauce
- ½ tablespoon sweet chili sauce G Hughes
Instructions
- heat sesame oil in a large pan over medium/high heat
- add minced garlic and cook for about one minute, until fragrant
- add sliced green onions and diced red onion and cook for about 3-4 minutes, until slightly soft
- add the ground chicken and begin to break up while cooking. Add the seasonings and continue to break up and mix while cooking
- once almost cooked (once almost all the pink is gone), add the sriracha, sweet chili and soy sauce and bring to a slight simmer while the chicken finishes cooking
- once chicken is completely cooked, add the coleslaw package and mix together
- bring the heat down to medium/low and cook for another 5 minutes, for coleslaw to soften
- meanwhile, add all the sauce ingredients together and drizzle evenly over each serving
