My husband and best friend are literally the biggest Nashville hot chicken critiques I have ever met! So, when I decided to get my foot into the Nashville hot chicken door, it had to be GOOD and lemme tell you, this stuff is GOOD. It is the perfect intense heat at first and then the cooling, honey flavor hits you at the end.
Nashville Hot Chicken Tenders
Ingredients
Chicken Ingredients
- 8 ounces chicken tenderloins about 3 pieces
- ⅛ cup flour
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
- ⅛ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground red pepper
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
Sauce Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon light margarine ICBINB
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon ground red pepper
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- 1.8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar replacement Swerve
- ½ teaspoon honey
- 2 teaspoons water
Instructions
Chicken
- in a small bowl, combine flour and all the chicken seasonings
- press all sides of the chicken tenderloins into the flour mixture, to coat, then set aside
- preheat air fryer to 400 degrees, greasing with cooking spray, the place chicken tenderloins inside
- air fry for one minute, then spray chicken with cooking spray, air fry again for 4 minutes
- flip chicken tenderloins over, spray with cooking spray, then air fry for another 5-7 minutes, until fully cooked (or bake in the oven at 450 degrees for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway)
Sauce
- meanwhile, melt margarine in a small pan over medium heat
- add the remaining sauce ingredients and stir to combine
- bring to a slight boil then reduce heat to low/medium and simmer until thickened
- once chicken is cooked, brush sauce evenly over all the tenderloins

Delicious, but not too spicy. This recipe is really easy compared to a traditional Nashville Hot recipe. I will be making this again soon!
