These air fryer chicken tenders are breadless, non breaded, or have no breading, whatever you call it, and are the most delicious way to make chicken tenderloins.
Making chicken tenderloins in the air fryer is the easiest, and best, way to do it! They come out perfectly cooked and super moist on the inside. Plus, it takes less time than the traditional oven or stovetop way.
I made these chicken tenderloins in the air fryer with a buffalo BBQ sauce to create a super delicious glazing on the outside.
I served these with a delicious creamy honey mustard, to tone down a little bit of the heat. To make this, I combined equal parts of G Hughes honey mustard and plain, nonfat Greek yogurt.
What You Need to Make Chicken Tenders in the Air Fryer with no Breading
First off, you will need an air fryer, you can use a basket type air fryer; but, I really like a rack type air fryer as well. However, you can also make them in the oven. I will go over both directions.
- Chicken tenderloins
- Seasoned salt
- Buffalo sauce
- BBQ Sauce
I love using this recipe to make chicken tenderloins; however, you can use another cut of chicken. Try out chicken nuggets (cutting up some chicken), chicken breast or chicken thighs. However, be mindful of cooking times and cook the chicken completely.
I add some seasoned salt because I love salt. The buffalo sauce and BBQ sauce provide lots of flavor; however, I just like to add a little more. You can use or skip the seasoned salt. In addition, you can use different seasonings like some paprika, pepper, or anything else you may like.
I make these air fryer chicken tenderloins buffalo style; however, I added some BBQ sauce for some more flavor and to keep it a little less spicy. You can use any brand of either sauce that you love, I typically use G Hughes for the BBQ sauce. However, any brands will work.
How to Make Non-Breaded Chicken Tenders
Start by preheating your air fryer to 400 degrees. Grease your air fryer with cooking spray.
Combine the BBQ sauce and buffalo sauce together in a small bowl.
Season the chicken tenderloins with seasoned salt, on both sides. Brush on a generous amount of the sauce to both sides of the chicken tenderloins.
Place in the air fryer and cook for 5-6 minutes. Flip the chicken over and brush with any remaining sauce. Air fry again for 5-6 minutes, or until fully cooked.
Breadless Chicken Tenders in the Oven
You can also make these in the oven. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Repeat the same steps to season and sauce the chicken. Place chicken on a greased baking tray. Cook chicken for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway.
You can also use this recipe with any flavor that you love. I did a buffalo BBQ; however, you can do just buffalo or just BBQ sauce. In addition, you should try lemon and herb, garlic and parmesan, or pretty much anything else.
