The Perfect Stovetop Rice
Ingredients
- ½ cup rice dry
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 teaspoon light olive oil
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- add rice, water, oil and salt to a small pan and place on the stove and turn on the highest heat setting
- once water begins to boil, stir well and bring down to low heat (about a 2 or 3)
- let some heat escape for about 2 minutes then cover and cook until all the water has evaporated and the rice is fully cooked
