Happy Summer! Which is 51 weeks out of the year in Florida. However, I know summer doesn't start until Memorial Day for most of the Country. I have compiled a list of all my favorite summer BBQ recipes. Not all of these are actually made on the BBQ; however, just remind me of a summertime gathering outdoors.
Burgers
Let's start with burgers because nothing reminds me more of a summertime BBQ than a burger!
Bacon smash cheeseburgers are my absolute favorite burgers ever! They combine two very thin patties, smothered in cheese, and then topped with bacon.
If you want something with chicken, I highly recommend my Worcestershire onion burgers. They are lower fat, because of the chicken; however, the Worcestershire and onion makes it taste more like a beef burger!
If you need the best burger topping ever, try out my BBQ onion jam, it is in this recipe. Honestly, there is no better burger topping than this!
Smash burgers are just like my bacon smash cheeseburgers, without the bacon. Seriously, the best burgers ever.
Appetizers
These are some of my favorite appetizers that would be perfect for a summer BBQ or neighborhood gathering.
Time to splurge on some wings! I have cracked the code for the juiciest and crispiest chicken wings - these crispy cornstarch chicken wings are lightly breaded and made in the convention oven, then finished in the air fryer for that fried taste, without all the oil.
These jalapeno popper meatballs taste just like the classic poppers dish but made with cheese stuffed ground beef and formed into little balls.
This skinny, ww approved pasta salad recipe is made with macaroni, Greek yogurt and apple cider vinegar, without any mayo. Plus, all your favorite macaroni salad toppings!
I think I definitely found the secret to making the best and easiest corn, and that is in the air fryer. Air fryer corn comes out so crispy, tender and truly just better than another other corn. Have you ever had the Wingstop Cajun corn, well this recipe is basically exactly that. But, I made it healthier and probably more delicious.
Every single flavor you love comes together in these delicious little cheddar bacon ranch meatballs! Simple to make and literally exploding with flavor. The meatballs are garlic-y, onion-y and, of course, ranch-y. They are packed with cheddar, to really give it that cheesy, burger flavor. Then, yes there's more, they are wrapped in bacon!
Are boneless wings just chicken nuggets? Nah! Brought the restaurant home with these garlic parmesan boneless wings, or if you prefer, BBQ! So easy and fun to make for an appetizer or dinner. Serve with my zero point ranch, of course.
This buffalo ranch chicken meatballs recipe is the best meatball recipe and then they are smothered in creamy ranch and buffalo sauce. The flavor in these is incredible and everyone enjoys eating them!
Dips
There is no better appetizer than a zero or low point dip. All of these dips are zero points, except for the spin dip.
Fiesta corn dip is such a fun and zesty dip. It is very unique, as compared to a classic spin dip or hot wing dip. However, everyone will be so pleased and amazed by this. Very easy to make as well.
My skinny spinach and artichoke dip is very low in point, yet, still cheesy, creamy and delicious. Plus, you get some veggies in.
Buffalo chicken dip, or HOT WING DIP! Whatever you want to call it, but this is the WAY healthier version of it. I could seriously devour this entire thing. I’ve brought it to many tailgates and parties and people love this version more than the normal way! Serve it cold with some chips or vegetables.
This healthy and fat free Zero point French onion dip is your go-to weight watchers veggie dip. It truly tastes like the real deal. You would never realize this is a healthy French onion dip, most people do not. The EASIEST dip to make!!!
Sides
What are your favorite sides? I would either go with a mac and cheese or fries as they can be made in bulk and will last through the BBQ.
Drinks
Dessert
If you need to bring or make a dessert, I have a couple WW friendly, easy to make, dessert options.
Nothing says summer more than a berry fruit salad. To honor the three summer holidays, Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day, I used red, white and blue fruits for the salad. The dressing is a sweet, cilantro and lime coating that is perfect touch for this summer salad.
I have the perfect frosting dip when you have a little sweet tooth! It is so delicious and you can make it any flavor that you want. I serve it with a couple pretzels for a salty taste too! Only two ingredients required!
I love having really good healthy alternatives to snack on. It makes it even better when the snack looks this pretty. Total holiday, snowball vibes, am I right!? These jello candied grapes are so good, especially frozen. We used them in our charcuterie board and they made the perfect addition!
